What you'll accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll be able to generate professional event concept moodboards that show clients what their event will look and feel like — before you spend a dollar on decor or design. Instead of 2–3 hours hunting Pinterest, you'll have 8–12 AI-generated concept images in under 30 minutes, organized into 2–3 distinct visual directions to present to the client.

Every Midjourney image starts with /imagine followed by your prompt. The basic format is:
/imagine [visual description], [style keywords], [technical parameters]
For event moodboards, your descriptions should include:
Start with a clear visual concept based on the client brief. Type in Discord:
/imagine corporate gala event design, black and gold color palette, art deco theme,
dramatic chandeliers, round banquet tables with floral centerpieces,

Midjourney generates 4 image options. You can:
For a strong client presentation, create concept sets for at least 2 different directions. Example for a corporate awards dinner:
Direction A — Classic Elegance:

Direction B — Modern Luxe:

From each direction, click U1 (or U2, U3, U4) on the image you like best. This creates a single high-resolution version you can download and present to clients.
Right-click the upscaled image → Save Image → save to your event folder.
Corporate conference (clean and professional):
